Dursley News - February 2012
 

February 10th 2012 saw the official opening of Dursley's new Vale Community Hospital which was carried out by HRH The Princess Anne, Princess Royal, ast Friday, February 10. The Princess was welcomed by HM Lord-Lieutenant for Gloucestershire Dame Janet Trotter DB before meeting several local dignitaries, including town Mayor, Councillor Jane Ball, and members of staff before going on a tour of the new hospital.

Elsewhere in Dursley, work is continuing on renovation of the toll house in Kingshill Road which is due to be completed and welcome its new tenant in April.

    Substation fire
The electricity substation in Springhill, Cam, suffered an explosion and subsequent fire, leading to some disruption to local supplies.

The removal of a hedge next to the new Council office building in Cam, has provided a good view of the almost completed building.
